The project was conceived in response to the challenge posed by the European Innovation Strategy and the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP): to build AKIS (Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation Systems) capable of ensuring rapid and innovative access for farms and the agri-food supply chain to high-quality information, cutting-edge technologies, best practices, and advisory services.

Thanks to funding from the Veneto Region and in collaboration with Veneto Agricoltura, the Agrifood Lab team is working to support the design of a social and relational architecture that strengthens the Veneto AKIS and fosters the development of an effective Back Office.

The activities are structured around three main objectives:

  • Strengthening the capacity of the AKIS to create and disseminate innovative knowledge, supporting the competitiveness, sustainability, and inclusiveness of the agricultural sector.

  • Analyzing knowledge management processes and routines within local supply chains, identifying practical and tailored solutions.

  • Defining priorities and workflows for the development of a digital platform, making the system more accessible and functional for operators.
